Troop 110 will return to Kensington for our annual Wild Beast Feast from October 10th through 12th. This peak Autumn weekend will be filled with scout camping activities as well as a feast of meats not typically found at your neighborhood burger joint! Always fun, it's a great way to "get away" without much of a drive.
A note for AOLs joining us at Beast Feast: AOLs typically join us on Saturday morning for the day. AOLs and parents are welcome to join us for camping on Saturday night. For Beast Feast we camp in the group sites in the north area of Kensington. You will receive maps showing how to get to the group sites after registration and once the site is established (on Friday) the number of our site will be communicated by email to all registrants.
Meet in the church parking lot by 5:45 for a planned 6pm departure. Please be dressed in Class A uniform for travel and have dinner beforehand. We will have a light snack at camp after we set up.
The Scouts will return Sunday by 11am to the Maxfield Edu. Center parking lot, located across Raphael Street from the church. If you are not accompanying your Scout please make sure that you leave a phone number where you can be reached that morning. Your Scout will most likely call when they are on the way home to give you a more exact time for pick-up.
Electronics use by Scouts is not allowed during the weekend.
**Important** - The committee is reinforcing our commitment to the policy of no electronics on campouts and we need your help with support. Electronics use by Scouts is only allowed during travel to/from outings and during designated game time. Devices other than cell phones are not allowed on campouts. These will be confiscated and returned to the parents at the end of the campout. Cell phones are expected to only be used on the trip to and from camp. During camp these devices should be stowed away. Leaders will give a warning but will be taking away cell phones if they are repeatedly seen at camp. If there are circumstances that a scout would need to be on the phone during the campout please let Julie or Blake know prior to leaving.
Payments may be made by check, ScoutBucks, through this website, or via PayPal. If you want to pay by PayPal please click where it says "I will bring a check made out to Troop 110 to an upcoming meeting" in the registration process. You will then have to manually go to the PayPal website (or app) and send the full amount to "Troop110Farmington@gmail.com". Please use a Person to Person transaction to avoid fees.
